Smart blinds for Smart City Malta.

Future Habitats was entrusted with the manufacture and installation of motorised blinds at Smart City. The project consisted of numerous blinds with sizes spanning up to eight meters width by six meters height.

The blinds were manufactured using the leading brands: Somfy for motors, Verosol for fabrics and Bticino for the controls. The blinds effectively reduce heat and glare in internal spaces whilst maximising natural daylight and screening UV penetration.

The blinds can achieve significant reductions in the demand for air conditioning, reducing electricity consumption and greenhouse gases. The blinds are designed to resist moisture and odour, bacteria, fading, warping and are antimicrobial.
